Account settings
Your account settings are the personal side of Cooper. Every user has them, and nobody else can change them. They hold your name and photo, password and two-step verification, sounds, email signature, Cooper AI Profile, WhatsApp link and your own connections to outside systems.
Account settings are the settings that belong to you rather than to your company's workspace. Every Cooper user has them, whatever their role, and no admin permission is needed to open them. Nobody else, including workspace admins, can see or change most of what is here. The few exceptions, such as an admin resetting your password, are noted on each page.
Open your account settings
- At the bottom of the sidebar, click your name. If the sidebar is collapsed, click your picture.
- Click Account settings.
My Details opens first, at /auth/profile-settings. Use the tabs across the top to move between the other pages. Every tab has the same header, showing your picture, name, organization and role.

Notifications
Every sound Cooper makes: message and bell tones, the door knock and call sounds, volume, and quiet hours.
Email Signature
The display name and signature added to email sent from your connected Gmail or Outlook mailbox.
Cooper AI Profile
How agents write, call and answer for you, who they must never contact, and what they've learned about you.
Linked accounts
Link your WhatsApp number to your workspace's Cooper assistant, so it answers and acts with your permissions.
Connections
Connect your own Google Drive, Calendar, Notion and other accounts so agents can work in them for you.
What's personal and what's shared
Some settings follow you everywhere. Others apply only in the workspace you're signed in to.
| Setting | Scope |
|---|---|
| Full name, password, two-step verification | Your account, in every workspace |
| Phone number | Your account. Cooper copies it to your contact record in every workspace. |
| Profile picture | Your account, and your contact record in the current workspace |
| Signed-in devices and sign-in activity | Your account |
| Sounds and quiet hours | Separate for each workspace, and the same on every browser |
| Email signature and display name | Separate for each connected mailbox (Gmail or Outlook) |
| WhatsApp link | The workspace you linked it in |
| Connections | The connectors your admin made available in the current workspace |
Account settings or workspace settings?
Account settings change things for you only. Settings in the sidebar holds the workspace's own settings, such as users and roles, the organization's details, company two-step verification, integrations and connectors. Those need admin permissions.
| You want to… | Go to |
|---|---|
| Change your own name, photo, phone or password | Account settings |
| Turn on two-step verification for yourself | Account settings → Security |
| Require two-step verification for everyone | Settings → Organization (admin) |
| Connect your own Google Drive or Notion | Account settings → Connections |
| Add a new connector for the workspace | Settings → Connectors (admin) |
| Link your own WhatsApp number | Account settings → WhatsApp |
| Connect the workspace's WhatsApp number | Settings → Integrations (admin) |
| Change someone's role or reset their password | Settings → Users (admin) |
For AI agents
Most account settings can't be changed through the CooperBuild MCP server. Account records are blocked for the generic db_* tools for every user, and there are no tools for passwords, devices, two-step verification, sounds, email signatures, WhatsApp links or personal connections. When a user asks for one of these changes, send them to the right tab and never claim to have made the change.
The exception is the Cooper AI Profile. Agents set it up and keep it current with profile_context, profile_get, profile_answer, profile_finish and profile_update, and read and save memories with memory_read, memory_search and memory_save. Every one of these tools works only on the signed-in user's own profile. See Cooper AI Profile.
get_tenant_info returns the signed-in user's name, email, username and role in each workspace. Use it to find out who you're working for.
