Brain
Brain is Cooper's AI side, where you set up the AI agents that work for your company, give them skills and company knowledge, put work on autopilot with automations, run AI-drafted outreach and publish AI-built visuals.
Brain is where Cooper's AI lives. Your agents are named AI specialists, such as an accounting specialist or a submittals specialist, and each one follows its own instructions and skills. They learn how your company works from the Org Wiki and see how your records connect through the Knowledge Graph. You put them to work in AI Team, in Chat, from Claude or ChatGPT, on calls, in Automations that run on their own, in GTM outreach campaigns and in the Visual Artifacts they build for you.
Open Brain in the left sidebar to see its pages. Which pages you see depends on your role and your company's plan. See each page's Permissions section.
AI workforce
Agents
Cooper's named AI specialists: their instructions, skills, trigger commands, model, budget and voice.
Skills
Reusable instructions and reference files that teach agents how to do a job, with versions you can revert.
AI Team
Give the AI team a job in plain words and watch it plan, call tools, hand off to specialists and report back.
Knowledge
Org Wiki
Your company's standards, procedures, benchmarks and lessons learned, which agents read when they work for you.
Knowledge Graph
A self-building map of how your projects, vendors, invoices, tasks and documents connect, plus each project's knowledge files.
Automation and output
Automations
Rules that run on a schedule, when something happens or while a condition stays true, with every run and approval tracked.
GTM
Plan campaigns and send AI-drafted outreach emails, one-time or as a cadence, with review, approval and a do-not-contact list.
Visual Artifacts
Dashboards, summaries and online forms that AI builds from your data, published at a link you can protect.
How Brain fits together
- An agent is the worker. Its skills tell it how to do specific jobs, and its instructions set its role and tone.
- Agents read your Org Wiki for company standards, and use the Knowledge Graph to find how records relate.
- You hand work to agents in AI Team (or Chat, or Claude and ChatGPT through the Cooper MCP server). Cooper picks the right agent, which can call other specialists for parts of the job.
- Automations run steps for you on their own, including AI steps, and tell you when something needs your attention.
- GTM and Visual Artifacts are what the AI produces for people outside Cooper: outreach emails and shareable pages.
Before you start
| What you need | Where to set it up |
|---|---|
| Access to a Brain page | An admin gives your role the matching permission in the Brain module under Settings → Roles |
| AI runs that work | Your company's Anthropic or OpenAI API key under Settings → Integrations → AI Providers |
| Agents that can do the job | Agents use only the tools your own role allows, so an agent can never see or change more than you can |
For AI agents
Agents connected through the Cooper MCP server can work with every part of Brain. Each page's For AI agents section lists the tools for that feature. Common starting points are talk_to_agent (hand a request to a named agent), wiki_search (company knowledge), graph_project_overview (a project across every domain), automation_browse and visual_artifact. See Use the docs with AI to connect an AI app.
